She pierced her knee on her first trip. I wouldn't say it wasn't even a note drop that caused the hole he made. Can't comment on durability as we just got them. I bought my son a pair of navy blue convertible pants as an alternative to the official Scout pants. The material is much thinner than scout pants, but looks good with the uniform and is similar in color to the shirt. The zipper legs are ok. But the back pockets are completely fake, which looks silly on hiking pants. All in all, I'm not sure if they're worth the price. I will save as our scout shop is far away and they charge a lot for shipping…
