Theoretically pretty, but doesn't really go with

In theory I think this is a cute craft and I'm glad it worked for some people! The circles are so thick that they don't fit in the bowl. Someone mentioned this and suggested wetting them a bit to make them more pliable. Even after I've steamed/rounded them, they still pop out. It's hard to peel off the glue because they are hard and flat :( It was a cute idea but it didn't work for me.

Pros
  • Everything's great!
Cons
  • A few little things

Too tedious/difficult for children

Me and my two children (9 and 5 years old) made a bowl. Paper circles don't bend and our bowls looked awful. After reading all the instructions, you should apply more than 4 coats of glue and allow several hours to dry between each coat. Needless to say, it was a huge flop for the kids. Mine turned out pretty well, but seriously, it was a lesson in patience for an adult. I doubt many kids could handle it.

Dilute the Glue on Arts & Crafts

I found this little project interesting, but more effort than it's worth. My glue arrived ok but was too thick. So I diluted it with water. The circles are too hard for something like this so I had to go over them a few times and use my nails to press down the edges. It needs to be watched really carefully, so keep doing this until it's completely dry. You can then add more layers to make it stronger. It was ok for something else, but I won't buy it again.

Disappointing and disappointing gift!

I bought 2 of these sets, one for my 11 year old granddaughter and one for my 13 year old granddaughter. For an 11-year-old who just loves crafting, the whole thing was frustrating. Paper circles won't take the plastic shape even after using a lot of glue. She and I tried bending the rims a bit and it helped, but of course what was supposed to be a fun project wasn't. The next morning the glued circles were dry but we couldn't get them out of the plastic mold. Simply an impossible craft. I…

A fun set, if not very creative

This set was a fun project that turned out to be a success. There is not much potential for creativity as the set can only be used to make bowls. Gluing the circles together was fairly easy, but applying the first layer of glue to the top was tricky as they kept sliding. After the first layer has dried, the second and third layers of glue can be easily applied since the circles will stay in place. You get three forms; a small one, a medium one, and a large one, and many circles. The shapes are…
