We bought it in February, it's now October and the fan doesn't work anymore. The light works fine, but the fan does not turn on. And no help from Litex. $100 down the drain.

We were looking for a fan with a more modern design for a child's room and decided on this one. The fan has been working fine for almost a year, no extraneous noise or problems. It's actually quieter than other fans in our house that cost 2-3 times more. My only complaint would be the desire for a remote control or dimming function, but for the price this is a great little fan.

For those just curious, if you want to buy rails for this fan you'll need to order them specifically from Lowe's or Home Depot - it requires a 1/2 inch diameter. lower rod.
