Works very quietly BUT every 10-20 minutes "gulp" water drips into the filter ball, ball noise. It didn't bother me that much, but I imagine it might wake some people up. Overall I was very happy with it. Read other reviews - the tank can be a hassle to fill the sink (have to take it to the kitchen). Pretty to look at, easy to use

I bought this Crane evaporative humidifier for my bedroom. I live in a very dry area and would like to be able to increase the humidity when we sleep. I don't like ultrasound machines as they leave a lot of white dust everywhere and I just can't believe breathing all night isn't bad.
