This unit looks a lot more reliable than the unit with the Salt Away setting and costs three times as much. The only downside is that it's only "on" and "off". No rinse. So you'll need to make this adjustment when you flush your rig. I've seen a few people say that a final rinse with Salt Away or a other salt remover you prefer is not as bad.

Product arrived as shown but it was very difficult to turn the valve on top. When I opened the tank I saw that the o-ring was destroyed. The o-ring used to seal the solution reservoir also appears to seal the on/off valve. I'm going to buy a new o-ring and hope it may not have been assembled correctly. Hence 1 star because I didn't get a working device. It is not for nothing that the condition there has leaked badly in some reviews.

Poorly made fake. I spent 20 minutes tightening it properly to keep the salt from leaking out and wasting it. Due to a leaking fluid reservoir, it was unable to build up enough pressure to properly flush the engines. This spread the salt on my swim platform. I'm not even sure if any of it got into the engines.

Product leaks so much that it cannot be used; I should have listened to other feedback; Now I gave $17 for nothing and added to that a wasted salt terminator which I also bought from Revain.com and leaked. Revain may not sell this product; I had to use the Camco Winter Tank System, which I also bought from Revain.com, to do the flushing instead of the CRC dishwasher; I put 2 ounces per gallon in the tank and it worked fine. I want my money back, not fair!

Too bad about CRCI. I am a carefully oriented 5 star exotic and muscle car restorer. This washer broke on the second use! properly tighten such parts. The return window closed before I even used it! The hole is so small that the 2018 Yamaha outboard flushing nozzle is receiving insufficient flow causing the upper unit to have no water flow - no water will flow out of the check hole. Remove the CRC flush nozzle and the water flow from the hose will circulate through the powerhead and exit through the inspection hole. Overall - Junk. It leaked like a sieve under pressure, it really is. The salt-free product doesn't leak - and especially the desalinator - which is more expensive, has three settings, one setting lets water flow only, the 2nd setting lets the desalination product flow. through and 3rd stage "off". I've been using mine for a full season now, year round not just summer (about 13 months so far). I use it to flush a 200hp Yamaha. and 9.9 horsepower after every trip to the salt here in the Pacific Northwest. I handle this like any other piece of plastic on a boat, like the actual connector you use for flushing, and I've had no problems with it breaking.
