people 1 raccoons 0!

We were very happy about this article because we fought several times against a raccoon that was rummaging through our rubbish. We've tried backlighting, strong smells, and even weights on the lid, and it still managed to make it into our trash. We spent about 10 minutes installing the clamps and that evening we were able to watch a raccoon try to get into our trash. He tried many different ways but he couldn't figure it out. In the end he gave up and went to our neighbors' yard!

Pros
  • New in my collection
Cons
  • I don't really like anything, everything is fine

. The product comes with parts for installation in two ways: cable ties or bolts. My trash can (DC) didn't have holes so I had to drill them. Easy enough with a drill and a few regular drill bits. I took the star off because the studs were unreasonably long. Could be twice the size which would make installation much easier. In fact, the long screws made me switch my installation method to zip ties because I was concerned about an inch of the screw sticking out in my trash can and tearing up…

Pros
  • . Good product for the price.
Cons
  • . Is there anything I can add?

A very inexpensive way to solve a lot of clutter and headaches!

We love them! We were on vacation in Florida and our neighbor kept contacting us that the raccoons keep getting in the trash and throwing everything all over our yard. This has been an ongoing problem for many years. We had to put bricks on top of the can and move it every time we tried to throw another bag in, we tried the elastic cords and it was dangerous. We came home, installed them and there was not a single problem! We love ours and I would recommend everyone to buy them! Not only is it…

Great idea, poor quality

A nice solution that would be great with a bit of quality. My two black straps came out of the 'teeth' and when I put them back in now they no longer 'stick' to the teeth. Looks like the end that should be hooked/tucked in isn't thick enough. I barely pulled the thing and it happened after only 3 uses on one side and the other side soon followed. I didn't make it too tight, but it eventually had to happen because it wasn't built right. I'm going to use something like strong gorilla tape to make

Comes with all required mounting hardware, bin may require drilling
