Update: Clicking problem solved

The charger worked fine for about a week, then it stopped charging and kept clicking. This caused my battery to become severely drained, to the point that I can now shell out a few hundred bucks for a new battery. Dissatisfied. I will try my luck with the Noco brand. UPDATE: The relay clicking and charging failure seems to be due to poor connection quality at the quick connect (where you can disconnect or connect ring terminals or terminals). ). I suspect that if the resistance at the connector

New Northstar AGM battery bubbles when charging

I thought I'd buy a better charger for the new best Nortstar AGM battery. Not as much. Despite all the talk about this charger not being designed to charge batteries, it did just that. (Northstar AGM27F, 92AH battery for my Tacoma). It's a bit wacky, but I've never had another charger do this, and I've had a few - first time use, left it in the garage for an hour or two, went out for another reason and when I got this next time the battery went i heard a gurgle, a bad sign of an AGM battery…

This will save you $100 if not $1,000 in battery replacement costs.

Let me start by saying that I only give 5 stars when they are really deserved. This is a charger that everyone who has expensive AGM, SLA batteries should have. Simple plug and play usage. Simply connect the supplied jumpers to the charger, connect the batteries to the + and - terminals and switch it on. Keeps your battery charged, charged, overhauled and even repaired in some cases. This charger can do what other standard car battery chargers cannot. If you have an expensive battery and don't…

Excellent Ctek US 7002 charger.

ok. It's been about two months since all aspects of this Ctek have been used. This is a great charger. It charges in stages, and the instructions indicate what the charge voltage is at each charge stage. So you can check the voltage with a voltmeter coming out of this charger to make sure it is what is advertised. How do I know? When recovery occurs, the charge voltage is about 15V DC. This causes the solution in the battery to bubble up a bit and has to go somewhere to get out of the access…

Simply powerful and reliable – everything you want from a charger

I've had mostly "dumb" car chargers over the years, and they serve a purpose, but their usefulness is limited. Lately I've been using a 6 amp RC hobby charger, but it's not really suitable for this application. After my wife's car battery died after two weeks of inactivity and my batteries were starting to run out, I decided to invest in a long-term solution. Modules in the footwell when jumping or loading. CTEK has a soft start and several safeguards designed to minimize this risk. Unlike a…

NOT CORRECT. Overpriced 7 step charger.

According to CTEK when I emailed them about the lack of a 10 day float service Step 7. I was told it was removed from the programming due to CEC rules. Thanks to the infinite CA BS and those weak I-state fools, the rest of us are forced to lose whether we realize it or not. Without this 10-day float service (step 7), the impulse service (step 8) immediately switches the relay on and off 2-4 times a minute after charging, regardless of the battery, vehicle or installation condition. It's…
