Very fragile.: Colanders and colanders

Broken after three months. He couldn't handle a handful of pasta. I chose a branded product because I wanted durability and I was disappointed.

Filter thin but warped in shipping

My daughter recommended these to me - I bought them because the ones she has are great. I received mine but they were deformed. I thought maybe putting them under hot water would bring them back to their original correct shape. But no luck. As they are of good quality and last a long time, I would prefer the filters to look good. I have to return them for replacement. You want the best packaging.

Pros

Cons
  • Negative Gift

Okay, they work. The frames/handles are a bit flimsy so I handle them very carefully not to damage them. This should bring it down to three, but I feel merciful and bump it up to four because there's no sign of rust, suggesting that the materials are of good quality, even if they're a bit flimsy.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • A negative impression

Do not buy for washing grain: big DESIGN error

Do not buy this strainer if you want to wash small items or cereals such as rice, quinoa, etc. The screen connects to the round ring on the outside, so small grains can get caught between the screen and the ring and become difficult to remove. An unexpected DESIGN-DESIGN for this 4.5 star kitchen notebook. Check out some of the other brands in the store and you can see the mesh insert into the round ring so nothing can get caught and you can just smack this thing on the kitchen sink a few times

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Nothing

Nice fine stainless steel strainers

I bought these strainers a month ago and have been using the set several times a week since I received them. There was a slight dent in the mesh at the rounded bottom of the largest filter, but I was able to reshape it by squeezing it out with my fingers. The largest sieve was used to wash rice, fruits and vegetables. The middle one is for sifting flour and dry baking ingredients. The smallest was used to sprinkle the desserts with powdered sugar and cocoa. Overall I'm happy with the…

Cheap fake, don't waste your money.

An alarming phenomenon with so many products these days: you buy something that has worked fine for 7-10 years, you go online to buy a new one, find the same manufacturer and what looks like one and the same product - only to find out that it is a cheap fake of the real thing. It says Cuisinart, it says stainless steel, and it comes at a great price. It's nothing difficult to buy, is it? My first review was about how flimsy the basket and frame are. I felt the basket sag, not much at all. The…

I would call these "sifters "

I was looking for a small sifter. Because? Well, some of the packaged condiments made by companies like McCormick, Lipton, and Knorr make quite good flavorings. One of my favorites is Lipton's French Onion Soup Mixture. It's a great seasoning for many dishes, including roasts that I might want to sear before (or after) putting them on the grill or in the oven. Another option is McCormick Meatloaf Seasoning, a great seasoning for chicken my favorite way to cook it: sear in a pan and then cook…
