I was very happy to get this product because I had a previous version of Cuisinart and liked it a lot. However, as soon as I started using it, I noticed an incredibly strong metallic taste in the water, so strong it overwhelmed the teas and coffees I made with it. I've been using this kettle for just over three months so I'm not on Revain's return policy but will be contacting Cuisinart. This morning I went to put the kettle on and found the window part of the item was cracked! I really liked the kettle, it boiled quickly, poured great, but if the viewing window broke, I didn't expect this to happen with an item supposedly made to withstand the temperature of boiling water. I've been using electric kettles for about 30 years so the bar is set high. This one is good, there are some flaws, but I'm glad I bought it. Pros: * It's shorter and sturdier than a standard jug-shaped kettle, which is absolutely fantastic if, like us, you have a tiny sink and low faucet.
