Bad design looks best in the kitchen and dining room

I was very disappointed with the design of the product. I had an old GE that I loved and used for years. It had removable waffle plates that flipped over and were flat plates for pancakes or a barbecue. It all opened up to lay flat. This one is very limited and specialized in its use. It doesn't open to lay flat and has 4 compartments on the bottom plate, so you can only make 4 small pancakes at a time. I don't know what the flat top platform is for and how to use it. It seems like a waste. I…

I want to love this waffle maker

I give this waffle maker 3 stars because of the waffle maker interchangeable plates. I love this waffle maker and love that it comes with pancake platters. I love making everything from eggs to waffles to hash browns and everything in between. I love breakfast, but I also hate cleaning up too many messes. I didn't mind spending more for a waffle maker that would be a lot easier to clean, but I feel like the plates don't really live up to the advertisement. Supposedly the plates are dishwasher…

Rubber feet missing at back bottom - DIY

Bought this waffle iron based on most of the good reviews. I skipped reviews that mentioned that the unit only comes with 2 rubber feet when it actually comes with 4. So be careful as the 2 metal feet on the back can scratch your countertop or surface. I thought I was 2 feet short when it arrived. I called customer service and, like some of the other reviewers, was surprised to learn that this unit only comes with two rubber feet. I couldn't believe it and the support rep really wouldn't do…

Five Waffles In And I'm Love

Received this today and decided to try making waffles for dinner. I used the mix, didn't even bother with the homemade dough. The waffles were amazing! Cooked to perfection and great. A touch of 1.25 cups of batter was perfect (the instructions said 1.5 cups but it spilled over the waffle maker and made a mess). Following the instructions, I gently spread the batter over the sides and corners before closing the lid. The timer starts automatically when I close the lid - I don't have to remember…

Waffle maker Cuisinart WAF-300 Belgium

I've been using the Cuisinart WAF-300 for a few months now. Here's what I think of its design and performance. First, it's expensive. I wouldn't pay that much for a waffle maker, but it's one of the few on the market with removable plates. I'm tired of cleaning my old waffle maker. How do you properly clean a kitchen utensil that can't be submerged in water? The thought of cleaning my old one almost made me give up making waffles. Cuisinart plates are dishwasher safe and always come out nice…

  • Excellent overall performance

love love love! Best in Small Appliances Category

Words cannot express how much I love this waffle maker. Why on earth aren't they all made with removable panels? I've always insisted on waffle makers that make 4 standard square waffles at once so I can make quick meals for the whole family. But after years of struggling with the cleaning process of the previous two waffle irons, I asked my husband for this one for my birthday. Here's what I like best: 1. The plates are very non-stick. I still brush them with melted butter because every…

I am very happy with this waffle maker. I've spent a lot of time looking at different waffle irons. I wanted to buy one for my husband as he sometimes wants waffles. I'm not usually a fan of waffles, but I've found that I like the Belgian style. So when I started looking for a waffle maker for him I was convinced it could make the thicker Belgian style that I like. There are so many waffle makers out there and reviews are everywhere. I stopped thinking I could get something for less than $20…
