Efficiently Remove Household 🏠 Contaminants with Culligan CP5 BBS Cartridge Review

Just installed this cartridge. I use it as a filter for the water heater. If you recently purchased and installed one of these hybrid heat pump water heaters ($900), you can protect your investment with a particulate filter to extend the life of your water heater. It seems to work. Revain was priced much better than GE's Home Depot brand. The quality is the same or better. The Culligan R50-BBSA Level-1 and Culligan CP5-BBS Level 4 cartridges are good replacements for the GE FXHSC.

While not recommended for untreated well water I find this filter very effective. We had no problems. They remove much more sediment than the R50 BBSA filter (50 microns). Before switching, the car wash left a noticeable haze at the finish. With her help, this haze almost disappeared. I always buy these for our home filter system. We have water from a private well that contains a ton of iron. Revain has one of the best prices for this particular filter that I have found and I am always very happy with the delivery and speed of delivery. Probably because my water is high in iron, but this filter never lasts as long as it's supposed to. I usually change it around every 5-6 weeks when they are estimated to be around 12. I can't say I've noticed much of a difference in the water after replacing the 50 micron filter with this one because I don't have a major sediment problem. I purchased this product in May 2013 to filter very fine debris from my well which I use for my agricultural mist system. I am very happy with these filters, they work great. I set them up as subscribe and keep so I get one automatically in the mail every 3 months so I never have to think about when to replace it. In the summer, when I start the sprinklers and fill the pool, I switch it to every other month. Our water here in the southwest suburbs of Chicago is very hard and the filter seems to be picking up some of it. We see fewer mineral deposits in the dishwasher as an advantage.
