Easy to install but not suitable for car wash.

Installed a new coupler on my son Hterra and there was no way to mount the bracket for the 7 pin connector. Received this and it was an easy and quick install. The only downside is that a few days after installing it went into a car wash and almost ripped it off. This clamp has no force and something must be added to hold it together. If you pass a car wash, or one you drive into and park while it's being washed, look elsewhere. If it comes loose during a car wash, it would destroy the wiring…

Mickey Mouse for towing groceries and winches

This thing is an abomination in the back of your SUV. For some reason I thought it actually fits "over" the receiver, but it does fit on the front of the receiver. (My fault!) I also have Kurt's hitch, so I thought they would play well together. It fits with two screws going through the top and you can't over tighten it. This makes it very thin. Something like an assembly kit! It also adds another piece of crap to smack your knee on. I'll give it a couple of weeks, but most likely I'll just cut

Looks easy to use but not suitable for my application. Maybe a little thin.

Insufficient support for the electrical connection due to the safety chain cutout as shown in the photo. But if it fits your towbar, this is an easy way to install a 7-pin connector. I got it for my 2nd gen ram but couldn't install it. The factory electrical connector for this truck is quite long, probably 4 inches, including the rear connector. There isn't enough room between this bracket and the hitch cross tube for this port on the Class 5 Curt hitch I received. Use the 58290 Curt Bracket…

Nice clean look

This plug holder gives a nice clean look without drilling holes in the car or hanging ugly brackets under the hitch. I installed this on a Curt hitch under a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek. This would probably work better on a heavier hitch than a light Subaru hitch as it is designed for use on large collar hitches. Since I had to squeeze it as hard as I did, the side of the connector turned up a bit, which actually worked in my favor because it makes opening the 7-pin connector a bit easier. I will be…

Clean looking connector(s)

I love the clean look of this mount. Installed almost from the factory. Installation was pretty easy. I'm using this for a 7 sheet plugin, so I didn't use the "Flat 4" attachment. But it seems like it's set up pretty well too. As other reviewers have said and you can see in my photos, it will flex (and shape to some degree) when mounted on a receiver. I used one of the included spacers above to help with too much flex. The bottom edge of the bracket at the nut and bolt end curled up as I…

Normal solution if you don't want to drill

I bought a new Curt class 3 coupler for my 2018 Honda Pilot and needed a solution to install a round 7 pin electrical connector. I've never dealt with body drilling and it's generally not very strong (screws to plastic) which is why this device is on my list. Installation was very easy considering the hitch and wiring harness were Curt brand. The unit attaches to the hitch by squeezing the outer frame. For my installation I had to use one of the spacers that came with it. On my particular…

I love this product but I have a large receiver with extra metal welded on the first half inch and it made it impossible to bolt the frame. I had to sand the entire right side and the entire top and bottom "edge" of the frame to match the metal. A bit of spray paint and jiggling at the bolts, which are pushed in and stuck. I may have lost some structural integrity at the attachment point, but I find this quite handy. A few busy roads will tell me if it's well developed. Also, the metal seems…

Excellent goods! suitable for towing products and winches

This mount works great. This is a convenient and clean way to add electrical connectors for trailer wiring without having to screw a mounting bracket into the bumper. I love the fact that I no longer have a tangle of wires hanging from the hitch. Overall the installation took about 30 minutes as I had to plug in a 7 pin connector. The mounting bracket itself went through in about 5 minutes. Two screws hold them to the 2" receiver and cannot fall off. The only thing I didn't like is that the…
