Works but quality is questionable

The item worked as described but there seem to be quality issues with the unit.1) The first item stopped working about 45 days after installation. If I hadn't pushed the black and red connectors, they wouldn't have connected. The exchange with Cutting Edge was not direct and it was easier to deal directly with Revain. 2) The replacement item (see photo) arrived already damaged. The USB ports were not properly secured, resulting in the cables being disconnected inside the device. The item worked

Connects directly to the solar panel - no controller required

If you're an early adopter of a solar panel, it probably draws less than 100W, is expensive, and doesn't have a USB port. Solar panel prices have come down significantly, making 100-200w solar panels an economical purchase. What to do with the old solar panel with less power? This device connects directly to your solar panel and does not require a controller (which often requires a connected battery to function properly). You may need to purchase an inexpensive adapter to connect Solar SAE…

Stopped working after less than a month of ownership

My original 3 star rating below. Now I rate this 1 star and I would give 0 stars if I could. The fan is completely broken. No more spiders. I'm sure the rest of the device will stop working soon. And because they used special screws, you can't even open it to try and fix it. It says 'Made in USA' but I highly doubt it given the quality I noticed the first time I used it and how it basically stopped working properly after a few uses. I do not recommend buying. -------------- Works as described…

Works great with a used 80w solar panel.

Bought to test the ability to charge directly from the sun while traveling to a cabin in New Mexico with no electricity or running water. I was skeptical at first, but when I opened the panel, connected the wires with the correct polarity (check this, it's easy to swap this part, this is your first time) and it worked like a charm. I was able to charge my LG G8 Thin Q, iPhone X and Anker PowerCore 20 Portable Charger 100mAh Super High Capacity Power Bank at 4.8A to full capacity. I started…

Works but overpriced. depending on your opinion.

This device worked "well" at first (because I didn't know how it was constructed and how it worked). Until I blew it up for my stupidity in reversing the polarity at the input of the solar panel. These units require polarity protection built into the design, but beyond that I would have to spend another $12 to replace all 4 buck converters internal + wiring + MC4 connectors. Did a disassembly and saw the design. The value is in the box, it looks like it's 3D printed but I'm not sure. The box is
