Good light but there are better options

Accidentally bought this flashlight while replacing my previous flashlight. I used a Cygolite battery for 3 years and lost it while riding on bumpy gravel. I bought this light 2W thought it was a replacement. It's not the same, turns out I had a Cygolite 150 Lumens instead. I ran two side by side and took the attached picture showing 2 watts on the left and 150 lumens on the right. The biggest difference for me is that the 150 lumen Fresnel lens spreads the light and gives much better coverage.

Great light with an idiotic blemish

The light is very bright, has good smart flash modes that save battery power, can be adjusted in many ways. I put mine on the seat pin because I had other stuff on the saddle and didn't have a trunk. The battery seems to last for many days, maybe 20 hours or more, which is great. What really annoys this flashlight is the MINI USB connector, which wasn't popular for 10 years and even then was only used on some old digital cameras. Why? Why? I have tons of micro USB and now USB C - but now I have

I just don't want to support legacy technologies!

I rarely write reviews but I couldn't resist. This may be the most wonderful lamp, but I didn't even bother to check how it works! I just took it out of the box and was about to download it! I saw an obsolete mini USB socket! I won't even talk about the fact that it has been out of production for a long time and if you lose the plant it will be quite difficult to find a wire for it! I just don't want to support legacy technologies! Manufacturers bought mini USB because of the low cost! I think…

Super bright easy to use lightweight

I have no idea why they make a more powerful version of this flashlight as that 2w light is already enough to blind everyone behind you. I love that the button is easily accessible to turn the light on and off while driving. Assembly is simple and basic. It's light and small enough that I always keep it on the bike. I don't remember how long the battery lasts, but it's long enough to keep it on day or night when I'm on the go. An added bonus would be if someone told me that these attacks mirror

2 out of 3 died.: Sport

I keep buying these because they are very bright as advertised. This is perhaps one of the brightest flashlights on the market, catching the attention of motorists even on a sunny day. Unfortunately, these kigoliths have a fatal flaw: if the battery is completely drained, they will never work again. I accidentally left the first one on overnight and it never turned on again. I bought a second one and used it repeatedly without charging until the battery died. I tried charging it and it wouldn't

Cygolite Hotshot vs Blitzu Cyclops

Compared to Blitzu, this is the best selling rear light. Battery life: For me the most important point. I'm very concerned about safety as I cycle 26 miles to work every day. I want to make sure all cars can see me. So it's important to make sure it works consistently. It can take me about 1-2 months between charges. For Blitzu I had to charge it every 2 days. Brightness: Flash is brighter. However, cygolite is bright enough. Installation: Both options are easy to install. Blitzu seems to be a…

The mount will not work on a mountain bike with a dropper saddle.

Deterioration -- Received 2 hours ago and trying to put on a SC Hightower mountain bike. I moved the dropper post up from where it is inserted into the frame so the dropper seat is still fully articulated. It looked good. But when you attach the light, it sticks out of the rear wheel - there's only about 3 inches between the light and the wheel, so any good push/push on the shock can cause the light to make contact with the wheel . I've tried mounting it on a rear frame but it's not a good…

Bright, but otherwise not enough.

Good product although it has some flaws that really make it 3 stars instead of 5. First, the choice to use a mini USB charger instead of micro USB. This in itself would be annoying as micro-USB is much more common, but the most interesting thing is that Cygolite uses micro-USB on three of my other flashlights. I have found that I have to be very careful to ensure this particular light is charged. With other flashlights, when it's low I can usually crank it up on the go, but it's hard to find…

This is the tail light you need.

I've had it since 2013. I only need it in winter (summer time). This light is very bright and USB charging is very convenient. Keep the USB charge port covered (with the rubber cover provided) if it corrodes it will make charging very difficult as the electrical connection will not be made. This will be my 6th winter of using it and while it's been on the shelf for 3/4 years I've charged it up and it works great. After 4 years, I managed to tear off the USB rubber cover and the company promptly

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design

  • Definitely bad product
