After I bought and installed this modem and had the issue of about half the websites not loading, I called D-Link support and was told that this is "End of Life" D-Link does not provide product support and is not guaranteed. The only support available is "Premium" support. Very expensive. D-Link support is a waste of time. I reinstalled my Frontier modem and everything works great with my new router. I just hope to get it back since I already have it installed. Additional note on D-Link…

Pros
  • Surfing the web, checking email, and chatting
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Not exactly as advertised

Works well if you know how to set it up yourself. There are many inaccuracies in the instructions. But the features mentioned in the data sheet and/or manual are not present in the actual product. The manual says you can set the time via an NTP server, but this feature doesn't exist in the actual product. At least not in what I got. The help says there is a firewall, but that doesn't exist either. The guide also describes a parental control feature that doesn't seem to exist. I contacted D-Link

Pros
  • Connect your computer via Ethernet or USB
Cons
  • There are errors

Works great for AT&T DSL on the West Coast

Purchased to replace a Speedstream 5100 with an AT&T DSL. Below are the steps I took to get this working. Note that this method will result in the DLink modem going into "bridged" mode and all firewall and DHCP protection will be the responsibility of the router. Here are my settings: PC --> Wireless router --> DLink DSL modem --> Phone line - The router is running dd-wrt firmware. My order of installation is: 1) connect power and phone line to the DSL modem, but do not turn it on yet…

Pros
  • Upstream: up to 24Mbps, Upstream: up to 3.5Mbps
Cons
  • Very Expensive
