I used one of these switches to disconnect a small (30Ah) lithium battery from the load to avoid parasitic discharges. The switch is rated at 20 amps, which is more than enough for the project. The wires that came with the kit appear to be 18 AWG rated at 16 amps for chassis wiring, which works. A practical product for my workshop.

I have a kayak with fishing electronics and lights and need an easy way to turn them on and off. These rocker switches are small so I had no trouble finding an accessible place to mount them. They're working well so far and I like the fact that they're backlit so it's easy to tell if they're on or not.

The installation is a little difficult. The switch is held to the back panel by a built-in clip and sealed with a thin rubber boot (see illustration). The boot needs to be carefully cut out to close the hole and the clip needs to be slightly lengthened to fit.
