Great box for fossils.

Fast delivery and product is as described. We are a homeschooled family and my 9 year old wanted to learn about fossils and rocks this year. I ordered this box of fossils and a box of rocks and minerals. Both are amazing. My son and I are very happy with it. However, there are quite a lot of shark teeth, and I wish there was another dinosaur fossil instead of so many shark teeth. Since sharks lose so many teeth every year, I bet a lot of shark teeth have been found, and I think half the shark…

Surprisingly good mix!

The plastic bag containing all the rocks and fossils looked depressingly small at first, but when it was opened and examined closely it turned out to be full of interesting little fossils war, teeth, shells, etc. Tip here: open the corner of the bag, fill it with water and blot to spill out the water with all the dust and dirt. Be careful when pouring or pour it through a sieve or colander. A few rinses will save you from a potential mess. I got the idea to clear out the reviews that said…

Nice collection of activity based learning. Was a complete hit with the child it was given to.

My 4 year old dinosaur addict loved it. He took his "collection" to show and tell about in preschool every time since Christmas. The sorting aspect of this kit was great too. Doing things with him and letting him sort and identify seemed to give him a greater sense of accomplishment and ownership than just giving him them. We also cross-checked the physical fossils with images and information from his dinosaur encyclopedias and other books to corroborate the information. Most of the details are
