I struggled to find the right fit among the classic flats (Capezio, Bloch) and finally settled on them because they were affordable and the right one were sized for my legs. The leather is cheap and looks like it will peel off (after one use). I only go to class once a week for fun, so it's not a big deal, but I don't expect it to be very long, even for the occasional dancer.

The material is thick and hard, but not soft or pliable. The inside of the shoe wasn't soft either, it was rough and caused pain in my feet in class which other brands didn't. When you buy leather flat shoes it is very important that they are comfortable so that you can function accurately in class, especially if you ever want to get to pointe shoes. This shoe makes basic groundwork painful, 10 out of 10 I wouldn't recommend.

They definitely don't have a brace so be careful when buying because I've developed plantar fasciitis. I don't know if it was the movements in the ballet or the shoes or both, but it's not a comfortable feeling at all. I had to wear the boot for a month and I still have pain here and there. I bought them for a semester ballet class and a great price. If you engage in ballet full-time or more than classes, I suggest investing in something with ARCH support to avoid injury.

These are my first pair of ballet shoes for class (at home) and they are great quality! Before buying, I carefully read on dance sites how to choose the size for an adult, measured my leg and luckily it turned out that the size ordered was perfect!
