DB Electrical ADR0336 C Alternator Chevrolet Review

A year and a half later you have decided to write my review. Amazing, this little guy has done me good. Boosted stereo, five speakers, three electric fans and more in my 1975 Corvette. Pulled to replace the engine and cleaned in this video.

Terrible screeching like 12 angry tigers got their tails stuck in the V-belt on first use. However, the DB will send me a new replacement device within 4-6 days. Time will tell if the next generator works as expected. A new block is on its way to me. Now I will fear for the reliability of Chinese generators.

The alternator is not a complete replacement for the original. The pulley is short and not as wide as the original. This involved removing the chromed pulley and installing the system from the original block. Additionally, additional shims are required on the back to push the alternator forward far enough to provide proper belt tension. If you like lots of extra work, this is for you. If not, then it won't work. Chevy 305.

Beautiful chrome version of the 10SI generator. Chrome isn't perfect, but for less than $70 I honestly didn't expect a show like this. The one I received didn't have excessive bearing noise like the others. Installs easily as it should and the voltage when running is 14.6v. Originally bought one of their 1 wire alternators and ran it at 15.5v. Gets high and would eventually damage the battery. Revane Prime made it easy to come back.
