This item was purchased from DB Electrical through Revain.com. Built into my classic '57 Chevy, which I rarely drive. Immediately noticed that the generator has a high-pitched squeak. I thought it was a new product and decided to see if the noise goes away after a few uses. A few weeks later I drove the car again and still noticed the squeaking. I contacted DB Electrical through Revain.com and DB contacted me to place a return and replacement order. After emailing them some information, I waited and no reply. I emailed again via Revain.com and after a delay I again received a notification from DB that they could not authorize collection and that I would have to return at my own expense and they would issue a replacement. Said the 30-day free return and exchange period had expired. I explained that I couldn't determine if the squeaking was a persistent problem during the 30 day limit. They didn't care. I explained that they had sold me a defective item and I would not have to pay for the return postage. They didn't care. So I sent the alternator back for replacement, paying $15.50 shipping out of my own pocket. I really don't even want another generator from this company but I have no choice as they do not refund my purchase. After the first 30 days, they only offer a replacement within the 12-month warranty period.
