Fits as advertised and works great. Slipped straight into my 1999 Jeep Cherokee and works with no problems. Can't beat the price.

So far so good for alternators and generators

This alternator has been running for about 4 months now. No issues so far, maybe a little noisy but I drive a Wrangler 99 with soft top and off-road tires so I'm used to road noise. Good price. I would buy again.

Strongly disappointed.

Purchased in February 2016 and although it works it makes an odd ticking and howling noise. I went to the dealer and he confirmed it was the alternator. The seller gave me a full refund, which I appreciate, but I would appreciate a generator that works just as well as the original did before it died. Now I have to get another one and won't be buying this again.

No new alternator. short circuit.

This generator is described as new. No, that is not so. I installed it and found my car won't start. I couldn't figure out what was going on so I had to take it to the store. They found that the voltage regulator in the generator shorted out and the wire to the computer melted, almost causing the computer to short out. All of this for $650 including a new alternator. This shows me that these generators are very low quality and there is little to no quality control in production. And something…

Great job: Parts

Fitted to a 1999 Jeep Wrangler 2.4L. The generator worked perfectly, the installation took about 20 minutes. We regularly lost the voltage on the voltmeter on the dashboard. When I checked the output of our current alternator, we got 9 volts (14-15 recommended). Shipping was quick and easy and I received them within 2 days of removing the belt tension on the jeep. I removed the two bolts holding the alternator along with two extra wires, I found that the wire going to the dash was corroded…

Works but a bit noisy

First I installed this using manual tools and no knowledge other than a few YouTube videos, so it can be installed by an average person. I might even upload a short tutorial. I have a 2000 Cherokee XJ and my battery light went all the way down and the indicator lights were on so I figured it was time for a new alternator. This one is cheaper than any store alternator, and the lack of a main charge makes it a breeze, and by the way, you can sleep it off for just $10. However, about the noise…
