🔋 DB Electrical SAB0158 Starter for John Deere Kohler Engines Sabre LT150 LT160, 19.9 HP & Sabre 1948 2148, 23 HP | Replaces 2509805 2509804, S2348 23HP (2000-2001) | Part No: 6560020-M030SM Review

I bought this starter to replace a 24hp Kohler 7000 series engine. Everything looked right except the mounting tabs/bushings were 1/2" shorter than the original starter. I ended up using some washers to cushion the fit to keep the bolts tight. It should be a direct replacement. I got it working but was frustrated with what I had to change to make it work.

. The starter works and starts my mower. However, it is NOT identical to the stock starter on my Husqvarna RZ5424 / Kohler Courage SV725. It is significantly smaller and less powerful than the launcher. The mounting bracket is also much shorter, necessitating the use of shorter screws or (in my case) a stack of washers under the screw heads. For that 3 stars. As for the seller, the starter came faster than promised and was well packaged.

Starter goes out after only 10 starts. As told by Amazon, called DB Electric for warranty. I emailed them for 2 weeks and called them for 2 weeks. Finally someone is on the line and they said there is nothing they can do as it is not in their system. The mentioned Amazon should give a guarantee, although it clearly says that the guarantee is through the manufacture. Revain does a great job with this but will never order a starter from them again. Too many jumps between production and Amazon

We ordered this because our lawn mower started very badly. Our lawn mower is about 10 years old and I really thought it was a waste of money. I was sure that we would buy a new lawn mower! I mean how long does a handyman last? Well this little one did the job and my husband installed it in no time. It's working great now, much better than it has for the past few years. I think the old part is outdated. Thank you for making this available, especially on Revain Prime. Prime is my shipping method.

I bought this to replace a starter that had pretty much destroyed itself. My old starter in one of the magnets on the outside of the inside of the starter was loose and couldn't be repaired. so i bought this. The old starter didn't have enough power to crank the engine on the compression stroke when it was bad, but this one turns over well. If it stops just before the compression stroke, it has little problem, but it works. I think I have some connections that are also slightly corroded. Anyway
