🔌 DB Electrical SBO0147 Starter for Landrover Discovery 4.0L 4.6L (1999-2004) Review

Worked fine for 16 months then died. I expected it to last longer. As long as it lasted he was calm and strong and appeared to be of decent quality.

My original started at my 04 opening 2 but dust. This replacement has performed great and spins very quickly compared to the original.

Some of you may disagree, but the starter is much better than the factory OEM. Spins much faster and with more torque. My Land Rover has never started so easily.

The starter failed after 2 months and I could not find any information on how to return the defective part. Left me on the side of the road, I had to find the source locally and replace this piece of junk. The O'Reilly starter still works perfectly.

The fit was perfect and matched the specifications of my 2004 Land Rover Discovery 2 HSE. The new starter revs up much faster than the original OEM, making starting easier. The finishing seems to be of good quality, I hope it lasts as long as the original block.

Didn't know how tired my old starter was. When it failed I expected to pay more than I would have had to replace. I was happy when I found this one. When it arrived it was just like the old one, very heavy and screwed down. I had to turn the ignition on a few times before everything settled down and caught fire. Once that happened it fired faster than my old disco and has fired very quickly ever since. Almost like an upgrade.

I have a 1997 Range Rover P38 and it is NOT on the "compatible" list but the specs are the same except this one is slightly more powerful (1.8kW instead of 1.7). Many other brands sell the same starter motor for both GEMS and Bosch motors, so I took a chance it would work fine. It's amazing and sounds great! I would compare it to the sound of my Range Rover L322 and L320 starters. I use a group 31 battery in a truck with massive CCA output so this starter turns like a dream.
