🔌 DB Electrical SMT0107 New Starter for 4.7L Jeep Grand Cherokee 1999-2002, Replaces 56041207, 56041207AB, M1T84981, M1T84981ZC Review

This starter was installed by a professional and failed after 5 months of use. Has been replaced with a starter from another manufacturer by a professional who has the best experience in rebuilding starters. Let's see if Revain stick to their policy and send back this faulty product.

Bought because my stock starter failed on my 01' GC, this was delivered in a reasonable time and was very easy to add on. Less than a month later this one is having the same symptoms as the 18 year old from the factory, the quality isn't very impressive and now I have to find a new one to put on.

I just installed this starter motor on my Jeep 02 and couldn't be happier. It fits perfectly and I can say that it was made with quality parts. Few, if any, companies include a test sheet with the starter product stating that it passed all tests prior to shipment. I will say that the starter turns the engine much faster than the standard unit. So far this has been a good buy!

Excellent I've been using it for 2 weeks it works better than standard and at a great price. EDIT, after a few months this starter stopped working properly. I ended up buying one locally, more money but at least it won't let me down. I had to use this starter for a new kernel, so I can't even get it back. Avoid headaches and start with the best quality

Junk. Came out of the box with a barely hanging fork. I was in a bind and needed to get my car back on the road immediately, so I put on a spare tire and prayed. After only 2 months and very little use I bought it today from a parts store because I need my car on the road today. It was more expensive but at least the plug was solid and I won't be lying in the snow replacing it again in a month.

The starter was strong and perfect for the first 4 months. Now when I start my jeep it clicks a few times before it finally fires up. I contacted the seller and he told me to contact Amazon because they bought the DB Electric starter at a reduced price to cover the defects. Does Revain buy products knowing they have defects? Why would anyone put their name on a product that is known to be defective? DO NOT BUY! Huge waste of money.

UPDATE: In less than a year the starter motor died. If the jeep starts at all, it takes about 20 key cycles to start the engine. I contacted the seller and couldn't get a replacement - I ended up buying a different starter (TYC brand) and it worked great. Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7L V8.
