You sent the wrong starter.

Although the starter was advertised as a replacement for my Kubota ZD21 mower, it does not fit. I tried to contact the seller but he didn't reply to my message. Unfortunately I was diagnosed with COVID before attempting to install it. The return period has passed, so I know I have something that I cannot use or exchange.

The solenoid failed out of the box. 100% unemployed. Get the OEM and cry once

This starter will fit a variety of Kawasaki engines including mine. My original starter needed a magnet, but I figured it would be quicker to buy this aftermarket starter. Not correct. The new solenoid was bad from the start. Sent the starter back and bought a Stens magnet. Too bad. Sent back and ordered 3 more hoping for good luck. 2 went open and all 3 are bad. China must have shipped a huge amount of bad solenoids because I got 5 out of 5. Dyno testing applied 12V+ to connect the chassis…

Did the job and installed easily!

My Kawasaki fr691v Wright Stander would not start. I realized the solenoid was the culprit, so I evaluated a replacement. Turns out I could get this new starter motor with a new magnet for a little more money. I realized what the heck and bought it. It took me about half an hour to replace it with my big banana hands and starter position. First turn of the key and it started immediately!
