Image quality and brightness are incredibly low

I'm not sure why people gave such a high rating or I'm unlucky. While staying at home I bought a used Smart Board/Projector (600i6) for my homeschooling kids. everything is fine until the projector lamp burned out. Based on the smart projector specs (3000 lumens, 2900:1 contrast ratio) I choose the highest model from DBPOWER, it should outperform the SmartBoard projector like a breeze. (8500 lumens with 10000 contrast ratio). The result is not pretty. Brightness/contrast is significantly worse…

Terrible experience.

I bought this in August as my first projector. I was blown away by the picture, sound and overall quality. Less than a month later, however, all those dead pixels appeared on the screen (when the media wasn't playing). It looked like a galaxy. So I asked for a replacement. It arrived in less than 2 days but immediately I noticed that half of the screen never comes into focus no matter what I do. So this time I contacted DBPOWER directly and what a disappointment. Great projector, works great!

This projector is worth it. I've attached photos showing the image quality with both the lights off and some lights on. In the video I had to turn down the volume because my wife was sleeping. A few things I love about this projector: First, the picture quality is great! Even old movies (like the first Harry Potter movie) look great on it. Impressive image on video projectors

Unpacked tonight and was amazed at how easy it was to install. Connected my Roku via HDMI and projected to the wall in less than 5 minutes. It is very easy to adjust the focus and get a high quality picture. I don't have a screen yet, so I hung a large piece of white felt that we used as a background for the photos. The projected image is not clear at all

The key word in the description of this projector is "outdoor projector". As a home TV, it will never suffice. It's just not a sharp picture. I spent 2 hours playing around with the projector's digital controls and lens focus and still couldn't get a clear image. I've had a few days to use this product and test its capabilities. In short, this is a well built, great little projector. I will be using it primarily for outdoor installation but did some basic testing at home first before getting my new outdoor screen. *Update I contacted the seller and he sent me a new projector based on the pictures and problems I had. The new projector is MUCH better.
