Love it! Best Beading Supplies

I ordered this full length ironing board cover and love to iron on it. I covered it with a light fabric just to protect the finish from spatter and damage, but I found things ironed smoother and I didn't have to keep turning the fabric inside out to get the definition I wanted. Also, it was longer than my board, so I trim off the excess (with my 60mm rotary cutter) and can use it as a portable mat when I need it. It's 3/8 inch thick so it feels solid. I am very happy with this purchase.

Pros
  • 100% American Wool
Cons
  • Long Time

If you are a quilter, this will enhance your efforts.

I've always wondered what the good thing about quilted wool rugs is. then I put this rug on my big ironing board and it was sold. Also great for tablecloths.

Pros
  • 100% American Wool
Cons
  • Some Problems

Smells like barn.

Large size, great features but it smells like the barnyard and when I steam my quilt and bed linens the smell transfers to the fabrics. I walk in the door and smell it after a day of quilting.

Pros
  • Use this rug for ironing all your quilts, home decor, embroidery and sewing projects
Cons
  • It's fine

The best way to iron seams is to keep them flat and the edges sharp.

As someone who sews clothes, doll clothes, home decor, blankets etc I have tried many finishes such as , soft, hard woods. , unlined fabric and this wool rug is now the only one I want to use. The prize was a hard swallow. So much so that the ladies at my favorite quilt store suggested I check out the quilts. Neither of them fit on the big board and they were almost the same price. So I bought this just in time to make a 37ft binding for my duvet. I use the process of basting on one sideโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Wool construction traps heat and steam making it feel like pressing both sides at once
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

You need one, PERIOD!

Quilts, you must have one of these! I have four IKEA Kallax 4x1 units mounted on their side, 3 of which are stacked on top of each other , and I cut one off and traced it along one end to make a 46" x 73" rectangle. I put a piece of plexiglass on top and put cutting mats on top. I used a 24" x 60" ironing board from a 1 /2" piece of plywood, covered it with aluminum foil, 2 pieces of Warm & Plush batting, and then some padding fabric and stapled it together. Pins you use on chair legs etc which

Pros
  • 22" x 60" x 3/8" thick
Cons
  • Not all will fit
