I love this product, when my power is gone does it keep working?

This product is amazing although it can be a bit noisy at times. Peace of mind is worth it. I have several aquariums and we lose energy easily. The pump keeps running, I don't have to do anything. After the charge is depleted, I can switch to batteries. It's pricey, but worth it during hurricane season.

Amazing Aquarium Pump and Filter Product

This thing is amazing. Used this for my 125g. Attached two large sponge filters to it in case of a power outage and it worked great. Very expensive but worth losing all my fish. (Over $1500) but great pump. It has a built-in battery that lasts forever and when it runs low. You can take it out and just add batteries and it will be dead. There were two options. High, which stays on all the time (14 hours), and Low, which turns off for a minute for a minute. (28 hours). Maybe just take another…

THE BEST AQUARIUM PUMP WHEN POWER SHORTS

If you have frequent power outages and/or live in windy areas I would highly recommend this pump. I live in Louisiana and we are prone to severe thunderstorms, tropical storms and hurricanes. This pump runs on electricity and keeps the internal battery charged. When the device is turned off, the internal battery turns on without delay. There are also internal slots for D-type batteries should they be needed after the main battery dies. Well satisfied with this product. I connected 2 Hydro IV…

Totally satisfied

I am shocked that someone has written a negative review about this product. I bought two about a year ago and am now buying two more to put away as a backup. I have one on my 180 gallon tank and another on my 150 gallon tank. Each delivers two strips of air and releases a large stream of bubbles. Also, I do twenty percent water changes in each tank every Sunday morning, which means I shut down each tank for about an hour. The airflow is never interrupted. I still haven't tried the D cell…

Surprisingly, it has a 6V lead-acid battery, no nickel.

Surprisingly it has a 6V lead-acid battery, not a nickel-cadmium battery as the description says, or a lithium battery as the product packaging says specified. This is a *big* plus though! Lead-acid batteries are cheaper to replace and more readily available. The battery that comes with it is only 4.5Ah, so I'll be replacing the pump with a larger battery, probably this 12Ah model: ExpertPower EXP6120 6V 12Ah - 6V, 12A, SLA, Sealed Lead Acid with F1 terminals. The 12Ah battery is too big to fit

Saved my fish at Air Pumps

I live in the country and we have frequent power outages. Recently, a wildfire swept through our town, cutting off the power. Luckily my house didn't burn down to the ground, but I was also afraid of losing my fish. I have a 125g freshwater aquarium with 14 corydora eques (rider measles), 14 pink sharks and a few large sharks. dollar plexes. I installed my lines from this pump to two in-line sling filters to allow for O2 infiltration and filter out those power surges. I'm happy to report that…

Works well for about 2 years then pleases

This has been a very good product for about 2 years, I have two of my 200 gallons and it has helped with hurricane power outages. At the same time, I had to replace one back in August 2020, and now the other one is failing. They start getting incredibly loud. I contacted the company and they asked me to order a part (new membrane), it turned out that the problem wasn't even in the part. Besides, it wouldn't matter, there are two cars in the car, which the company representative didn't tell me…

Peace of mind for aquarium pumps and filters

Excellent mains and battery powered air pump. I hooked it up to two X-sized internal old fashioned angle "box" filters in my 240 gallon aquarium. I keep box filters filled with pre-filter sponge and Biomax ceramic rings that bubble all the time. They perform the function of aeration and additional biofiltration. The nice thing about the air pump is that in the event of a power failure, it automatically switches to battery operation without interruption and without any action on my part. So my…

Works great on my 50 gallons.

It is very beautiful. I've tried using this on two tanks and attaching a T-pipe extension but unfortunately it doesn't give the performance I need for the second tank. So I may have to buy another pump to run the other one. I use a sponge filter and a 50 gallon air vent and have tried running a 55 gallon air vent but there is not enough power to run a third air vent. But overall it has more power if you're just using it for airstones or a sponge filter in one tank, but pipe extensions aren't a…
