this composer has worked great for me since driving 200,000 miles from the original. You can never go wrong with Delphi or Delco parts. It only needed a gasket behind the clutch for it to make any noise but I've had it for about 4 months and now my vents temp drops to 40 degrees. For the price it was the way to go!

Bought to replace a broken compressor on my 2001 GMC Sonoma 4.3L. It was an exact OE replacement which fit me perfectly and has been working great for me for over 9 months now. Note that there is an overheat switch on the back that either needs to be removed from the old compressor with pliers. Or you can buy a new one from the spare parts store. Just make sure you do this as the compressor won't turn on without it.

This looked very expensive for the DelphiCS0121 compressor that I had to install on a 2003 C4500 that had a leaking compressor shaft seal. When the compressor arrived, I immediately noticed that there was no clutch. Air gap, it should have been 0.02 inch. Instead, someone was squeezing the clutch firmly against the surface of the hub. Pretty much the same experience as the previous reviewer. I got my first in October 2011. There was a loud pop/click when the A/C turned on (it went away when the A/C turned off). Disappointing at best. Like other reviewers, Clutch was purchased in 2011. An extremely clean and complete install on an 84K system that has never had any component failures. Both ACDelco and Delphi have been used for decades.
