Description of Delphi GN10168 Ignition Coil

Delphi uses winding process techniques to control the length of wire between adjacent windings. That’s important because more length results in greater voltage differences, which in turn create more pressure that could break down the insulation and wire coating. Delphi's ignition coils are engineered to Original Equipment specifications. Delphi's ignition coils are designed with proven materials, such as high quality wires and wire coating that resists the cracks, pin holes and imperfections that most often lead to failure issues. Epoxy vacuum techniques reduce air bubbles in the epoxy, because having fewer air bubbles increases the epoxy's insulation quality and reduces the chances of energy punch-through failures. Delphi's coils are designed and endurance tested to resist the common stresses that cause failure.

Replaced a broken coil on a 2004 Odyssey

I saw that the product had some quality issues but at this price I felt the game was worth it. I just had to replace a bad spool so it looks like I got a good one. The only downside for me is that the design is slightly different and the connector needs to be pushed harder for it to click. So far so good, so far.

  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • So far so good

Good replacement product.

A 2004 Honda Pilot had a misfire code on cylinder 5. Cylinder 5 is located at the front of the engine. I removed all three coil packs and noticed that cylinder 5 was different than the other two. A spring was missing on the inside and the rubber boot fell apart. I ordered this Delphi part and installed it in minutes. Problem solved. Good quality for the price, would have cost more at the local parts store.

Engine misfire fixed - engine runs smooth, no more vibration.

I ordered the item and it arrived the same day. Installed on the car and the misfire problem is solved. The only issue I've encountered is that the product image on the product box does not match the product itself. Have to see how long it lasts. At the moment the problem is fixed. The engine runs smoothly again. Update: 3 months and 8k miles no problem. Seems to be a good product.

They work BUT. - Coils

Installs 6 on an Acura MDX for routine maintenance. No problems or noticeable differences from the old one until 1.5 years have passed and then it works very hard. Codes pulled and found P0300 (random misfire), P0302 (cylinder 2 misfire), P0304 (cylinder 4 misfire) and P1297 (ELD ckt input low). Troubleshooting for most of the day, ELD, EGR, PCV replacement, plug replacement. because I knew it couldn't be one of my new coil packs. Finally replaced the #2 coil pack with my old one and all the…

Great deal from a great brand proven to be reliable

Best deal from a great company who have stood by their products for centuries. Some products can be really flawed, no brand is perfect, but this company has been around for quite some time. Every manufacturer has its ups and downs, and some go away after a while, but not Delphi. I am not paid to promote these products but I have seen these parts off all my family and friends cars and from what I have seen this is a reliable product. My OEM coils are still good, just to be on the safe side, I…

Terrible, terrible, terrible!

Don't you dare call them OEM. That is trash"! I installed a set of 6 on my 2002 Honda Odyssey and although the Check Engine light is on and off the car runs intermittently and erratically. Gasoline consumption also suffered. When driving at 40-45 mph I feel like the engine is jerking and the RPM is not stable. The only time it even works at idle, oh my! My 2002 Honda Odyssey has under 100,000 miles on it and has been extremely well maintained since I bought it brand new. I replaced a set of…

Easy and quick troubleshooting Honda Odyssey

Our 1999 Honda Odyssey with 81,000 miles (yes we've had it since we bought it, we have very low mileage!). On Monday the misfiring started and the check engine light came on. I didn't get to this until Tuesday when I plugged in my OBD scanner and it reported the following codes: P0300 - Random/Multiple Misfire Detected P0301 - Cylinder #1 Misfire Detected P0302 - Cylinder #2 Misfire Detected, P0306 - Cylinder #2 6 misfire detected, P1399 - Googled the codes, found useful information on…
