Description of Delphi GN10638 Pencil Coil

Delphi uses winding process techniques to control the length of wire between adjacent windings. That’s important because more length results in greater voltage differences, which in turn create more pressure that could break down the insulation and wire coating. Delphi's ignition coils are engineered to Original Equipment specifications. Delphi's ignition coils are designed with proven materials, such as high quality wires and wire coating that resists the cracks, pin holes and imperfections that most often lead to failure issues. Epoxy vacuum techniques reduce air bubbles in the epoxy, because having fewer air bubbles increases the epoxy's insulation quality and reduces the chances of energy punch-through failures. Delphi's coils are designed and endurance tested to resist the common stresses that cause failure.

Amazing Performance

As a hesitant automotive enthusiast I was skeptical about purchasing this ignition part, but I am glad I did .As my tests showed, this product exceeded my expectations with its powerful performance. The coil was easy to install and made my car run smoother than ever before. The only downside was the COST, but the reliability and longevity of the product make it worth the investment. Highly recommended..

Pros
  • Powerful performance, easy installation
Cons
  • Costly compared to other coils

Fits 2014 Ford Flex Ecoboost

I purchased this coil to replace my 2014 Ford Flex Ecoboost when I was having issues with misfiring. The root cause turned out to be the fuel control board, so that coil is still stuck. It looks just like an OEM part.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Construction
Cons
  • Replacement Availability
