🔥 Denso 2213121 Radiator Review

Bought for my '01 Lexus gs300 - OEM replacement, fits perfect, no rebuild required. Would recommend to anyone who needs to replace the radiator on this car. Remember to swap hoses at the same time to get a full swap.

Excellent quality and 100% satisfaction. Reviews of a non-smooth upper brace fit are for early 2000 models. Save $200 (minimum) on labor and they charge $150 for Chinese crap - that's a solid 2 hour job with a minimum of tools.

This product is defective. My mechanic looked at it and saw that the coolant was coming from the area at the top of the radiator where it was being collected. He just reported that this cooler is defective. Where to apply for a guarantee? I don't think I should buy this item online. I need my car today and I had to buy it from a local shop where it was double the price. Disappointing as this new cooler was less than 2 months old! Wow!?

As other reviewers have noted, the fit and finish is not what you would expect from Denso. First, your original Lexus GS300/400 radiator cap will not fit this radiator! It came with a generic radiator cap (good luck finding a replacement cap if the supplier's cap fails). The second problem is trying to clamp the top of the radiator to the car. They are set back about 1/2 inch and you will have a hard time securing the radiator to the car with the support brackets.

This model was used on a 1998 Lexus GS400 which according to the Revain part finder was a match. The problem was once in the supports from below with the correct gaskets, the brackets of the supports did not match the screws on the upper radiator support at all. The fan shroud also only fit 4 of the 6 screw holes on the heatsink and had to be modified accordingly. The bushings also had to be cut and modified to actually fit the radiator to the car. This is not the correct fitting situation…

For a 1998 GS300. The Revain website shows the perfect fit, but it's not exact. The top or bottom 3 holes line up with the fan assembly, but all 6 mounting holes don't line up exactly. Either the heatsink was slightly warped or the fan shroud was warped. Installing the top 3 holes will offset the bottom 3 holes by 1/2 inch and vice versa. I bought this to replace a GS400. It matched the car perfectly. I'm not sure if it's the age of my fan shroud or the shroud mounting tolerances on this heatsink, but a couple of the holes weren't perfectly aligned.
