Description of πŸ” Derby Originals Quik-Fil 48” Slow Feed Poly Rope Hanging Hay Net: Enhanced with 2x2” Holes for Optimal Nutrition and Digestion

PREVENTS HAY WASTAGE - these slow-feed hay nets keep your hay off the ground to reduce waste and prevent spoilage. This results in cleaner hay that is utilized more efficiently, which is beneficial to your horse's health as well as your wallet!. IMPROVES DIGESTION - our hay nets allow for slow feeding, which mimics natural grazing patterns and is proven to aid the digestive process. Slow feeding is recommended by veterinarians to prevent gastric ulcers and colic. REDUCES BOREDOM - horses are designed to spend up to 16 hours a day grazing. Slow feeding replicates this natural behavior and keeps your horse occupied longer, which helps to prevent boredom-based bad behaviors such as chewing, cribbing, and pacing. EXCLUSIVE QUIK-FIL DESIGN - this hay net has a flexible rope ring sewn into the body of the hay net which keeps the top of the net open and easily accessible during filling. This added rope ring makes feeding a breeze compared to standard hay nets. HOLDS APPROX. 5-7 FLAKES - this slow feed hay net can hold about 5-7 flakes or up to a half of a 2-string or square bale of hay. These hay nets are great for everyday feeding and can be used in stalls, trailers, and pastures.

I like the bag but needs improvement.

I like the hay sack. The ring around the top helps when filling the bag. However, the ring around the top does not stay in place and will need to be adjusted with use. It appears to be held in place by velcro straps that don't always keep the ring in place and sometimes fall off.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Big and bulky

It is also not easy to fill as you have to take it off.

later This hay net is great for hanging from the ceiling outside in the barn, but when you want to store it it's bulky and awkward to handle. It's not easy to fill either, as you have to take it off where it's hanging in order to fill it. I wouldn't buy it again, I think I made a mistake.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • I'll add

So disappointed. I was also wondering if the net fell off

After first use the ring holding the bag open was so tangled in the net that I couldn't untie it to refill! Couldn't believe it. I will probably return both of the items I ordered. So disappointed. I also wondered if the net had come loose, if the horse couldn't get his hoof stuck in the arena!

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Very expensive

DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM

I have the new "stitched cloth" design of this product and it's still awful! This item does NOT work. It looks fine on the first day (so we ordered a second one) but after a few days the rope gets soft and puts holes in the bag, endangering the horses' hooves and legs. It's basically a hay sack with a large soft rope sticking out of the holes and getting in the way. The seller is at a loss with the return of the second new one we received. We had to cut the rope from the first one which wasn't…

Pros
  • Easy to Use
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide
