My choice is the magnetic bit holder!

This is literally the only low profile lockable magnetic bit holder on the market. There are many bulky ones like Bosch, Milwaukee, Irwin, etc. None of their locking mechanisms had such a thin profile. I use it more often than my Milwaukee which feels heavier.

Pros
  • a practical item
Cons
  • Not all fit

The magnetic clasp and bit clasp really help.

The bit snaps into place so it won't fall out when in use. All of this has a magnet that helps hold the fasteners in place not only when removing but also when installing. Pull back the black locking ring and the bit can be removed and replaced. Outstanding DEWALT quality.

Great driver extension

It's good quality very durable just like Dewalt tools. You can lock your tips, no more falling tips to remove, just pull the slip ring down to insert the tip, just push it and it locks in place with a click, it locks and becomes magnetic. I hope this helps you understand how this wonderful tool works.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Fine

Easy Release Screwdriver Accessory

Has an easy release mechanism. Pull back on the sliding sleeve to loosen the bit slightly. Of the three recently purchased brands, only this one has this feature. Other accessory holders that do not have a release mechanism require you to pull the accessory with varying degrees of force to remove the accessory. The Dewalt bit holder is simple and reliable.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Broke after a week in Power & Hand Tools

thought I would love this bit holder. I was tired of my bits getting stuck in the head of the screw and coming out of extension when I pulled out the drill bit (star bits mostly) so I figured this would solve the problem. However changing the bait (from Star to Phillips etc.) is quite difficult but I figured maybe I'd get used to it. However, the racket holder broke after only one week. waste of money

RELIABLY holds your bits in the shank/holder!

Looks solid and well made. Has a light magnet inside to prevent the screws from falling out of the bits. The locking mechanism works very well and locks the bit securely. It still takes a bit of effort to remove the bat once unlocked, but nothing out of the ordinary. Ideal accessory for commercial and private applications. Carpenters or other construction workers familiar with using an impact wrench!

Why didn't I know it existed?

For years, after removing or inserting a screw, I'll grab a bit that falls out and put it back in the magnetic holder for the next screw. for years. I've always hated magnetic holders, but they're better than nothing, right? Never. That's great. It grabs the bit and won't let go until you slide the collar down. So, two options: 1. Leave a small gap between the clutch and the chuck so you can slide the clutch down and change bits. 2: Remove the entire assembly from the chuck and then replace the
