Doesn't work and doesn't even have an instruction manual!

Just unboxed and plugged in this Dewalt charger. It doesn't work I went to read the instructions that came with it and they refer to some bluetooth items. So I don't even have the correct instructions for the item they sent me. I feel sorry for the person who received my Dewalt instructions with their Bluetooth device! Will return.

Genuine Dewalt part

This is the real deal. No copy. From what I understand from doing some research, this is the same charger that comes with some of the newer tool models. Can't comment on how well the temperature delay works as I told the person I got this for to let the batteries cool before charging. But that kind of protection is good. Fully charges standard and extended batteries in a reasonable amount of time.

  • Easy to install

The charger did not fully charge my 20V 6Ah batteries.

I have two new 20V 6Ah batteries for my DeWalt ATOMIC 4 1/2 circular saw. I bought this DeWalt charger specifically to charge these batteries. To my disappointment, the batteries were only about 50% charged when the charger indicated that charging was complete. That was with both batteries. I then bought a Lasica 20v charger to see if the problem was with the DeWalt charger or the batteries. The Lasica charger worked great. Both batteries are 100% charged. The DeWalt charger is back.

It does not work. About Power Tools and Hand Tools

I really hoped this charger would work but unfortunately it didn't. After the battery is locked, the charging indicator flashes twice and then turns on. I thought maybe I'll leave it plugged in and see if it's just a charge light that doesn't work, but no, it never charged the battery. The battery still had some life but it wasn't enough so I needed a charger. I asked for a refund and sent the item back to the seller. Another thing to note, the invoice that came with the charging box was from a

Not up to the usual high DeWalt standards

Disappointing that it didn't last long. I was new to the DeWalt 20 volt system and bought it to charge my tools. Interestingly, the batteries were so good that I didn't realize this thing wasn't charging them at all until it was too late to return the charger. I bought more and more tools and with them batteries. I didn't pay much attention to them until it was too late. So my conclusion is that the tools and batteries are great and you should throw your heart into this new standard system. But
