Don't listen to bad reviews!

The husband attached 3 wooden shelves to our brick wall in the living room. He said the pieces went through the concrete blocks like butter. The trick is that the masonry drill bit does all the work for you and you don't have to put all your weight on the drill bit. He also submerged the bat in the water for a few seconds after hanging each clip.

Partly my fault, partly not

Well first of all I didn't need a size. Totally my fault as I'm in a confusing mess got pregnant, and thought I had the right dimensions. No big deal. Now for the part that wasn't my fault: the 1/4" bit is useless. I've tried it with 2 different drill bits and although both are properly seated in the chuck and properly tightened, the bit wobbles in a way that you know isn't up to spec. It ferments so much that it doesn't punch a hole, just scratches the concrete. Keep in mind.

Failed after three holes

I have a lot of DeWalt tools and am a big fan of the brand, but these bits aren't very good. I drilled three 3/4" deep holes in the concrete with the first bit before the bit came loose from the shank. It didn't break, it just started spinning in the hex shaft. It only took me 7 shallow holes to turn installing the transition piece between the kitchen floor and the carpet so I figured that would help.
