Bag will not fit DW708 miter saw

I have tried twice to order a dust bag for my DeWalt DW708 12" miter saw but the connector did not fit. Please remove this model number from the listing.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • No power

Good quality Dust bag

This item is of typical Dewalt quality and I am generally happy with it. The bag is too loose and won't fit in the dust bag of my Dewalt miter saw so I have to use a nail or small piece of wood as a wedge to hold the bag in place but it doesn't matter and the bag works. Excellent.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Doubtful

Exactly the same as my other whiners Dewalt

It's strange that there are so many complaints about it. My model was on the list so I ordered it. I think I took a chance (and glad it wasn't based on negative reviews!). It fits snugly with two other DeWalt miter saws I own. Yes, 3 different DeWalt miter saws and they all use the same bag.

Pros
  • . Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Functionality

NOT suitable for DW708 Type 3

NOT suitable for DW708 Type 3 12 inch splitting saw. The mounting tube hole is oversized at 1 11/16" ID. Model 708 only has a 1 1/2" ID dust tube. No adapter is included to fit properly, so it is not universal. 3 stars overall as it seems like a good bag for what you have.

  • Feel good

Does not fit DW716: Power and hand tools

Warning, this dust bag does not fit my old Dewalt miter saw. I have DW716. It has a 12" blade and bevels in both directions, but is not a pull saw. The plastic tube on this bag is approximately 1/8 inch larger than the dust outlet chute. I'll probably wrap tape around the saw's exit dust box to compensate for the extra width. Damn.

Pros
  • Free for educational use
Cons
  • Drill kit

Like I said, I don't know lol

First of all, it's not suitable for a saw lol. When it's on, there's nothing for it to hold on to. So when you turn it on, it's instantly blown away by dust, lol. I do not understand. also the miter saw pocket which is a split saw and the pocket is in the back where the chute is. When the bag is on the slide it can't be used lol. Like I said, I don't know lol.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Nothing

Dust practically did not accumulate during the test.

It fits the saw well but picked up little to no dust when testing its properties. This came out of the opening in front of the dust exit port to which the bag is attached. By the way, even when using a vacuum cleaner, at least 10% of dust still does not get into the air duct opening on this saw. Even if this opening in front of the dust collector is closed, an annoying amount of dust escapes. I love the saw, but it's a crude tool in a closed workshop. I had to add deflectors to it to reduce itโ€ฆ

Stupid design and pressure on the head!

So if you connect this bag to the miter saw in the direction shown on the website, the bottom edge of the bag will line up with the bin. That means when the bag is full enough, the sawdust will start to seep back into the dust bin. If you look at the photos* of DeWalt miter saws you will see that the pocket is rotated 180 degrees and the sawdust falls into the pocket. OK - no big deal, right? Simply rotate the bag 180 degrees to make it work. Ahh, but then there's that ingenious inner wire that

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
