Powerful and efficient auger bit

This industrial drill bit has proven to be an invaluable tool in my woodworking projects. Through trial and error, I found that the Diablo Freud auger bit is powerful enough to drill through even the toughest materials, while also being efficient and precise. Pros
  • Efficient and quick digging due to its spiral design
Cons
  • Requires significant physical effort to operate

Works great but needs high torque.

You can easily increase the torque of your hand drill to the maximum. Hold on tight or the drill may twist your wrist. I did not expect this.

Pros
  • Two-stage cutting action for precise and clean holes when drilling wood
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

not quite 3/4 inch. Power Tool Parts & Accessories

Bought this to drill "straight" holes for bench dogs with a 3/4" socket. by Lee Valley Tools. The bit does not go through the socket - it seems that it is a bit large. Other 3/4 bits will fit. I tried fitting a socket with the same bit at a local shop and the same problem.

Pros
  • Dura-Tip for exceptional strength in wood with nails
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
