Works well but doesn't last as long as expected.

The product works as expected but does not last as long as expected. It may have been a bad expectation on my part, but after an hour of use, about a quarter of the bristles were already worn out.

Pros
  • Gray Super Coarse... Orange Coarse and Blue Fine
Cons
  • Not bad but...

much easier to use than a wire brush or sandpaper

Used for Shou Sugi Ban. A Japanese method of preserving wood by burning it without additives or chemicals. The charred/blackened part of the wood can take a long time to clean with a wire brush or sandpaper. And they come in different grits. Just like sandpaper.

Pros
  • Lasts (10) times longer than wire brushes
Cons
  • Modern

Really good, but not great

I'm not sure I could call this the equivalent of 80 grit and it seems like it needs to be more correct. In addition to cleaning the wheels up/down, the product started falling apart (okay, very heavy use). So I had to use a hammer to drive the metal blades back into the strings. I would buy again for light work, but not for heavy work.

Pros
  • Perfect for a variety of uses
Cons
  • Volume
