Terrible product. I do not recommend.

My husband and I completed all the steps - we prepped the surface (wire brush and scrubbed the ENTIRE roof surface), starting with a primer (2 coats) and finally 3 coats of this paint. We also used caulk and Dicor tape; Tape for seams and sealant on the roof vents. And guess what?! Rust appeared after 4 weeks! We have worked hard to get our roof in shape and are VERY disappointed in this product. Not only is this very expensive, but it clearly does NOT work. I do not recommend this product at…

Will not cover rust for van parts and accessories

I was trying to restore a badly rusted metal roof trailer. I researched various products and decided on this product based on the reviews and instructional videos. I followed the directions and removed all of the rust down to the shiny metal. I applied the primer as instructed and the metal immediately rusted again. Both primer and coating are water based. After contacting support I was asked to lightly sand the primer and apply a top coat of EDPM. Three coats later, drying in the sun between…

Total lack of contact with a properly prepared trailer roof.

I installed this product on the roof of our trailer 3 weeks ago. I followed the prep instructions and applied 2 coats, allowing the first to dry completely. After that, he was exposed to direct sunlight for several days in very warm weather, which should have healed him well. It was then parked under a canopy for about two weeks and then we used the trailer for about 5 days with very little rain. It was quite cold at night and I turned on the heating at times. However, this shouldn't matter…

Cracks in less than a year

This sealant saved my 1995 Starcraft van. That summer we discovered that the roof of our temporary 1995 Starcraft camper had multiple leaks from falling branches and the entire interior of the roof had been destroyed by water. I applied 2 coats of this sealer to the outside and replaced the interior ceiling panels. Now he's like new. No leaks. Since applying this sealer I have camped in the rain 3 times and not a single leak. The roof looked brand new because the sealing is white. When it dries

Portable drill. Update, 6 years and I'm still Eterna-Happy

Update: It's been 6 years and I'm in the process of repainting the roof due to small leaks and flaking. We're taking a hard line with our lander and I'm very happy so far. I've used it with Dicor Surface Conditioner, Anti-Sag Sealant and Eternabond. The Dicor website isn't very clear so after a lot of research I did the following: I applied two coats of Eterna-Prime Conditioner (roller), then two coats of this roof coating with a roller (low lint) and a third with a brush. Then I sealed the…
