A long power cord works best for Surge Protector

This surge protector has six outlets and a switch that glows red for easy finding. The outlets work and the cord is long enough to run from my bathroom heater down a short hallway, through another hallway, and through a pantry to an outlet.

Great power strip if you are looking for a good length cord.

This surge protector and especially the length of the cord was perfect for my wife with her laptop and tablet in the living room. The cord was long enough that I even had to tie a few yards or so and there was still enough slack left. Robust construction and good price. I definitely recommend this surge protector.

Beware! Accessories and consumables

I bought it because of the thick 14AWG cable it uses. It worked fine for a couple of months, then the switch went off by itself - even with no power. After several such episodes, the switch became very sensitive; If a mosquito landed on it, it would turn itself off (perhaps an exaggeration, but not by much). I opened it up (it's screwed on) and couldn't believe the flimsy, cheap wiring powering the outlets. Wire connectors are randomly spot welded to their terminals, creating questionableโ€ฆ

High quality. Perfect outlet and surge protector

I bought this for a specific part of our large room that needed power. The 15 foot footer was the perfect length and the 6 outlets were the perfect amount to power two of my chairs, a lamp, a laptop and a cell phone. The quality is superb and I would definitely recommend and buy again.

Great power strip if you are looking for a good length cord.

He does what he has to do; extended power 25 feet, with surge protection.

I'm a volunteer curator at a small museum in southern Indiana. We recently had a fire inspection and found that continuous or prolonged use of extension cords is not allowed. However, the permanent use of plug-in assemblies with overvoltage protection devices is permissible. We had a lighted glass display case that had not one but 2 extension cords to power its location. The fire inspector told me that the extension cords needed to be removed. Then he showed me this surge protector on hisโ€ฆ

Good strong cable but pins in sockets are misaligned - UPDATED!

The cable is nice and thick (as it should be) and everything seems fine, but when I tried to connect something I had trouble with it. Upon closer inspection I noticed that the pins in the sockets were misaligned and jammed and partially blocked the connector from the side of the connector I was trying to insert. I unplugged the power strip, found a small screwdriver, and bent aside the interfering pins to allow the plugs to fit into the outlet. Everything is fine now and I'm glad I don't haveโ€ฆ

LOUD POP AND SMOKE WHEN FIRST CONNECTED!

This product comes with both corner moldings. I don't know if this item has been returned before. I've attached photos, let's see if they make it into this review. I plugged it into my wall and immediately there was a very audible pop from the surge protector part (not the cable part). As if that wasn't enough, I could see smoke rising from part of the surge protector. Creepy! Luckily it worked in my house and I immediately turned it off. Luckily there were no burn marks on the floor! This item
