What a great little scanner - perfect for fast and negative. I've scanned tons of slides - it's very fast, especially with the extra memory card. Very impressive for a cheap device. When showing a scanned slide (the image is smaller than the scanner size) the colors and details are presented quite well. The original foil is 30 years old. This wasn't acceptable to me so I sent it back and chose another brand that gave me decent results. It may have been an anomaly with this particular device, but I didn't want to risk sending it back for an identical device and with the same problem. The picture quality was terrible. The image above should be a nice sharp image of a lighthouse. I previously sent the slide to the lab to be printed and the picture is hanging on my wall. The one created by this machine is awful and even has strange lines running through it. I tried several slides and none of them worked. I chose this product because it was advertised as having a 22 MP sensor. But that's not the case. It has a 14 MP sensor. It makes 22 MP with software interpolation. It is very difficult to use. The product comes with different plastic sliders for different types of foil. They're cheesy. To scan a slide or negative you need to place it in the right place on the slider.
