Cheap flashlights adapted to bike use

These are the kind of metal flashlights that you can get for $4-6 on Revain, along with a plastic adapter so you can mount on the handlebar. They are heavy, and the adapter make them stick way out forward of the handle bar, so shocks and vibrations while riding will make the light nose down, as reported by other users. In order to avoid that, you have to tighten the mounting screw to the extreme. This is not easy for most people: I have climber's fingers and it was hard, and in the process I…

Best purchase I've made in a long time

I asked the question about 80-200 lumens seeming to be a bit dim (see Q&A) - I can tell you that this light is brighter than any of those "million lumen" lights I've purchased in the past. The reply from the seller came in an hour or two. So far so good, a seemingly honest and quick response. So I took a chance, ordered on 3/30 received on 4/1 (Prime), loaded in 3 AAA batteries - and was immediately pleased.EXACTLY as advertised and came in a nice box with foam cutouts and instructions…

Pros
  • Water-resistant design that works in any weather

Great Value! for my opinion

Only used a few times so far but works great! I use both flashlights with the mounts backwards as mention by others. I aim one low and one high. Pro tip: When I went to turn them on (the button is on the back) the pressure shot the flashlight out of it's mount and on to the road. Even after tightening the mounting screws it did it again, maybe because I have the mounts backwards? So now I take the straps and loop them together as a safety tether incase they slide out of the mounts they do not…

Very nice! in my review

So I've had these for 2 years and I have to say for under $50 they're impressive!I tried a few different ways of mounting to get the most stability and range of light.I spread them out on the handlebars to spread the light out. I also turned the mount around so the lights sat back further in the mounts. This kept them from moving when I hit big jumps or went through rock gardens and other obstacles.Overall worth the money. Battery life is pretty good too! On high I got over 4 hours out of them

Pros
  • Durable and long-lasting life span
Cons
  • The colors or design of the lights may not match with a rider's aesthetic preferences

When you're limited by the bike or trike structure, you need more options on the device you're upgrading with. The holders for the headlight's need to be able to swivel downward to see the ground in front of you. (As I attempt to show in the photo.) Honestly that's the only place that I had left to mount them and the closest I could angle them towards the ground in front of me. Fortunately with new batteries there's enough peripheral light to see where you'steering to. But, I don't want to be…

One of the spokes lights came loose

I recently got the product I test it out to make sure everything work, seems pretty good so far.Labels for on/off on spoke lights are backwards but that's not an issue (to me). The issue I had is that one of those lights was not working. The plastic that holds the battery was not going all the way down for the "lip" part of the battery to make contact and turn on the light. It took about 30 mins of messing with it to make it work.Other than that can't wait to go out and test it out at night.

Pros
  • Easy attachment to the bike with sturdy mounting straps
Cons
  • The lights may be too heavy or bulky for some riders

Great lighting system for your bike for the price

Was a little skeptical about this product because a lot of times when the product does not cost a lot. You never get exactly what it says it will be or it is some cheap quality. In this case I am wrong both times outstanding product, I had multiple bikes so I split up the equipment between two different bikes I provided pictures so that you can see that this is a lighting system that you can depend on.

Pros

Cons
  • The product may not be compatible with certain bike accessories

Decent product for the price.

This was a great deal for my family. My son and I needed lights for our bikes. My husband already had his and this was a reasonable price to ensure our bikes are night time ready. I would suggest this product is you are in need of equipping multiple bikes. The produces shipped in a nice package and the main lights were of good quality. The additional lights are nice and my son really likes that is bike is highly visible with all of them on his bike.

Pros
  • Easy to operate, even while cycling
Cons
  • The lights may not be adjustable for different riding conditions

Good Commuter set for the money

Front lights are small mag flashlights with plastic holders - AAA power, not USB (which is not useful as my bike shed does not have a place for a charger. More lumens than most flashlights, but less than many more costly bike headlamps. Put one on my helmet and one on handlebars. Added to the wheel lights - great front visibility. The rear lights are the tiny, disposable rubber band mounted type with limited power and no way to replace the batteries. Should lat a month or two, then replace. I…

This product works and is easy to install.

This product I used for my go kart, not my mountain bike. I have an led bar light in the middle of these 2 lights that can easily be seen from a mile away. With these 2 lights it gives my go kart the appearance of a miniature vehicle. Added with another flashlight in the rear, and the 2 red lights it gives the appearance of a miniature vehicle heading away from you. There's no way anyone cannot see you at night, which is a time that I ride it.l did put the Colored lights in(that flash)the spokes…

Not Just For Mountain Bikes!

I bought my kids two brand new ATVs, but their model did not include a headlight. I looked for several off-road applications. I ordered one, but I couldn’t find an acceptable mount on the machine. It also required wiring. Then it hit me that maybe there’s a product for mountain biking that is just as bright, cheaper, battery powered and easy to mount. Well this product fits the bill. For the few minutes of riding my kids will do at dusk and just after sunset, these are perfect. They fit nicely on

Pros
  • ‎HB005
Cons
  • The lights may not be bright enough for some riders

Neat lights! best in my review

I was intrigued by this product from the moment I opened the shipping box - in terms of professionalism, this is probably the first set of lights that for as low of a price they are, packaged the lights in a nicely designed box with foam during shipping! As for the quality - the rear light is easy to mount, and is actually brighter than many other rear lights I've seen (including ones from expensive ones like REI). I like the front lights, but, wish the clamp was silicon like the rear light…

Pros
  • Supreme visibility for night cycling
Cons
  • The product may not be as reliable as newer models

Blindingly Good! good for me

I bought this mostly for the front lights. The rear lights and spoke lights are standard economy stuff and they work and look exactly as described. I have not used them much so I can't attest to longevity or battery life, etc. but the spoke light take standard batteries and should be no problem to keep working. The front lights are amazing. I bought this kit because we have a couple of bikes (or 8.who doesn't!) but I ended up mounting both on the black ape hangars of my cruiser and it gives an…

Pros

Cons

Great little lights

These are a fantastic deal for the price. The headlights are sturdy and well-made, bright, and easy to mount. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because it's difficult to tighten the thumb screws enough to really secure the flashlights in the mounts, especially if they're mounted at a downward angle. I ended up tying the wrist straps together so I won't risk losing one if it slides out. A rubberized coating inside the mounts to add some friction would help a lot. It would also…

Pros
  • Instant lighting with no warm-up time necessary
Cons
  • The lights may produce too much or too little light

Awesome kit for two bikes!

For the price, this light set is amazing. The two lights that mount on the front of the bike areuch brighter than I thought they would be and they are actually perfect for riding at night and actually seeing way ahead of you if you're riding fast. They adjustment is great and can be set for a flooding light or down to more of a spotlight. The great thing is the lights can be loosened and slipped out of the mount quite easily and used as a flashlight. The red lights are great and definitely…

Be sure they are tight in the mounts

These work great in my nice, wide handle bars. I use both. The only thing I’d knock them for is the mounting housing. The little knob to make them tight is not quite up to the task. The lights don’t get really tightly held. I have had other brands fly off the mounts. Yes, buy them but put an asparagus rubber band around the mount and light body. Cheap insurance is worth it and be sure to remove them if you lock your bike up on the streets.

Pros
  • ‎8.4 x 6 x 1.8 inches
Cons
  • There may not be a warranty or return policy for a discontinued product

Everyone will want it, light and/or mount.

Based on other reviews, I mounted my lights under the handlebar, took some rides, and they stayed in place fine. The front light is able to slip out after loosening a well-placed knurled knob, but the mount is also easily removed by loosening another well-placed knurled knob. Since the mount looks like it would hold nearly all the popular small LED flashlights at nearly every checkout stand in Hardware or Big Box stores, keeping your mount may be the biggest issue. If I were to leave the bikes…

Pros
  • Multiple settings for different lighting needs
Cons
  • The lights may not have any additional features or functions

Headlights double as flashlights

I am overall satisfied with this product. My wife and I have single speed cruisers we take to Key West to get around. Being lit up at night is highly recommended! The rear red lights we put on the down tubes at the back on either side of the rear wheel. The blue spinners were put on each wheel. About the only thing you have to watch is the flashlight/headlights. Because they're removable, we took them out during the day and left in the room. At night I ended up taking just one as I'd remove it…

Pros
  • Well-reviewed and highly rated by previous users
Cons
  • The product may be difficult to find in stores or online

Impressed with the quality

Super easy to install, metal flashlights that fit into a holder that attaches securely to the bike. I like that you can take out the flashlight if you needed to just by unscrewing a pin. This 2 pack was a great deal compared to what else was out there.INSTALL UPSIDEDOWN as another reviewer suggested. It makes so much more sense for the direction on the beam.I came here to order another set but found they are totally out of stock. So I left a review instead.

Pros
  • Powerful and safe to use on busy roads
Cons
  • The lights may be too dim or ineffective for riding in rural areas

Life Saver Lights for my opinion

This double pack is huge value. I stuck everything on one bike so I’m now lit up like a Christmas tree! I have one of the front lights pointing at the road 6-10 feet just in front of the bike and the other shining down the road and they are totally bright enough to spot anything gnarly coming. I used the mounts the other way round to the photos as I think the flashlights fit better that way and don’t jiggle at all.The tail lights were a surprise, I was doubtful when I got them out the box as…

Pros
  • Comes with reflective stickers for extra visibility
Cons
  • The lights may not be adjustable for different bike sizes or shapes
