So cute! The pattern is easy to follow and comes with instructions for different sizes. Good quality yarn. The butterfly is smaller than the picture (the picture on the baby hat label is more accurate for the size of the butterfly/other critters) but you don't want it to be as big as the picture shows (it would be too heavy directly on the hat to sit). Colors are the same as in the photo.

This was one of the 3 best animal sets I have ordered. This one came with a half dollar piece of soft plastic with ties, and it went into the top of the cap, something for a lion to "sit" on. Very cute I liked it very much. The other 2 sets didn't come with that piece of plastic and I miss it. Do you sell them separately? Or do you have a suggestion what I could use instead? I bought this mainly for a small topper because we have party hat day in our office in December. The yarn is fantastic, I don't knit or crochet so I will use it for other things. The reason for only 3 stars is that the Dreidel is wrong. There are only two correct letters in it, and they just repeat themselves on the other side. If you're looking for the right Dreidel, look elsewhere. I need to make sure only two sides are showing when I tie it to the hat.

Yarn is very soft and delivered quickly, but when crocheting I found they double knitted 2 ends together. I've also seen them knot the frayed sections of yarn four times. Because of this, the project may look sloppy or turn out differently than planned. I don't knit a project where these errors can be hidden, so I had to kill and restart to prevent these errors from getting into my project. Having paid nearly $9, I expect the skein to be knotless!

I bought a green kite from Michaels and it's cute, well sewn, but I ordered a cute gray mouse, the yarn doesn't look like a knit hat for a baby, it's more than one Child size and there is no foam pad. I've made at least 20 of these hats in the last 18 months. Both children and their parents love them. The yarn is comfortable to both knit and wear. My only objections are that (1) you need to secure the "topper" with extra yarn to prevent wobbling, and (2) the pattern size isn't accurate at all. I had to play around with this to make big hats. Bought this to make a quick UGA hat for my little one for the upcoming football season. I really liked how the yarn flowed into the pattern and the different textures. I used the DMC website for alternative sizes and followed the children's template as my son has a larger head.
