'06 Prius HID - 6000K

The glass has a light blue tint but looks white on the road. A big improvement over the 4300K which gives off a yellowish light when new. I originally wanted 5000,000 which were out of stock at the time of purchase. I think 5000K would be the best option for better lighting and white light. Note that mine starts out a darker blue when switched on and reaches final white after a few seconds.

Longevity? - Lamps

I cannot judge the durability of these lamps as I only installed them yesterday. They fit as they should and work - so happy about that. I can only give 4 stars for ease of installation as they came with a 2007 Toyota Prius which was a very tight fit. Nothing to do with lightbulbs, but lots of "blind" steps. Very happy with the price - over $100 less than the local auto parts store and a lot cheaper.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Requires socket

Bulb already burned out

AutoZone told me a bulb costs over $150. I checked Revain and found the same bulbs a lot cheaper. They were a little tricky to install, but that's just due to the design of the car. I've been using them for a few weeks now and can't say anything bad about them. They are bright and just what I needed. UPDATE: The right bulb has already blown and it has been less than 2 months since they were installed. Dissatisfied.

Works great - lightbulbs

They work perfectly. Installing it on my 2006 Tundra wasn't very easy without removing the entire headlight assembly, at least on the passenger side (I haven't done the driver's side yet). There just wasn't enough room to line up the bulb and leave it in place to put the boot back on, so I had to remove the entire headlight assembly. This is not at all due to the lamp, which works great, but simply to a design problem. I suspect if you do it often there wouldn't be such a problem, but the first

High quality headlights that work great after 6 months of use

I was very skeptical of this product given the relative price compared to OEM replacement parts which cost over $100 each from dealers or major auto parts stores. . But I thought it was worth a try! I am happy to report that both headlights are still working after six months of use. They are just as bright as the originals, although the color is a slightly softer yellow. However, I wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't searched for them and thought that given the tremendous value they offer, it's…

Bright, cheap, 2 year guarantee, what more could you ask for?

My 2006 Prius headlight bulb has blown. Went to the local auto parts store to find a replacement. They cost about $150 for a lightbulb. Here you can get two for $29.50 with a 2 year warranty. Another benefit of the two-pack is that when you change the bulbs in your headlights, it's best to change both at the same time to keep the color, brightness and life of the bulb the same. I didn't realize how weak my headlights were until I replaced them with these. Very happy with the product, will buy…

Good bulbs, good price

Lights arrived 2 days after ordering (primed). I installed it on my 2009 Prius. However, only on one side. On the other hand, lamb is still good. So I didn't want to mess around with the original screw. I'm not sure how long this bulb will last, but considering it's only 20% of the true cost of the original bulb, I would expect it to last 20% of the life of the original bulb. We will see. I have attached an image. The new lamp was installed on the passenger side of the car. The installation…

Works in a 2008 Prius Touring

These bulbs fit my 2008 Prius and although I tried to fit them myself (after watching a few YouTube videos) I actually found it very difficult and I did came to the point. Guy. I spent an hour trying to reach the driver's side headlight and finally gave up. Anyone who owns a Prius knows that Toyota will throw the F@$# out of you when you buy and install a lightbulb. $300-150 for a bulb and $150 for installation. We had $2,500 worth of brake work and they said they would put my lightbulbs in for

The second generation Prius seems to be a popular car with these buyers

My wife's headlight went out on her 2009 Prius and I immediately thought of a Toyota repair bill. With the Prius Gen II, there is no easy task because everything is so clumsily constructed. It's designed so you just want to get up and running. A replacement bulb from Toyota costs $150. A pair of replacement D4R bulbs is $30. I think I'm risking 10% of the cost. In any case, I knew they were a different color than what we had there, so I planned on replacing a pair and keeping the OEM as a…
