The chest was a bit bigger for my dog (35 pounds, his chest is 23 inches), but it's really warm and cozy. That would be a good idea for a big dog!

Fits my dog perfectly, true to size chart and seems to keep warm which is the goal! It's also very easy to wash! Good fabric feels durable and slightly water repellent (although not quite. Definitely does the job, works well for running and looks good on him. It's hard to find dog coats that look good on large dogs, so can I recommend that). Excellent jackets! My dogs are long haired and very prone to snowball buildup, so I was looking for a jacket that would provide better coverage for their bum and chest/stomach area. I wanted the back to reach my dog's tail and I liked the cord at the end for adjustment and the fact that it hangs from her back legs.
