These filters will not work with the Chemex Carafe

This product is leaking and/or is so thin that it falls apart when removed from the carafe. It will NOT work in the Chemex 6 cup carafe, although my pre-purchase question to the seller says it does. Do not purchase this product to use as a mass filter. Definitely don't buy it! If you try to return it you have to send in a couple of filters that were sent in a plastic bag that you throw away. It's OK - Coffee Machine Accessories

I've used Revain grocery store filters and filters from other brands, so I think I've tried different filters. To be honest it's fine. They are SIGNIFICANTLY thinner than the ones I've bought before and the stitching at the crease feels oddly stiff. I also find them strangely difficult to get out of the coffee maker (others just fall out when I knock over the basket, these have to be pulled out because they "get stuck", probably due to their thin surface). Suitable for drip coffee machines but I do not recommend using it in pour overs.

I bought these filters to use in my Chemex Pour Over. The filter isn't quite the right shape, so it's difficult for air to flow around the filter, because if coffee spills, it drips into the lower chamber and the coffee splatters. The filter is not supported on the underside during pouring, so the filter sometimes breaks during brewing, releasing coffee grounds into the coffee below. I started layering two filters on top of each other, which solves the structural issue but doesn't help the fit.
