The product was missing a crimping tool but I only needed the cable as a tool for an unrelated problem so it serves my purpose.

Cable received without other parts. It was also shortened and repackaged in black tie. My attempts to resolve this issue with the porter were in vain.

I didn't buy it as a speedometer cable, but as a flexible holder that does not twist due to the opposite winding direction of the sleeve. Suffice it to say I have no idea how it would work as a speedo cable but it was perfect for my project needs.

I'm using this bare speedo wire core for the animatronic tail/spine tentacle. It is excellent for this purpose and is relatively inexpensive. There is no need to buy a complete speedometer cable assembly from your local auto parts store and take it apart. that's exactly what you want. (See my review of Wire Rope Basics - Tentacles.) I run cables through vehicles and trailers every day and sometimes I need something a little stiff but flexible to pull cables through tight spaces.
