🔑 Dorman 13636 Keyless Entry Transmitter Cover: Ideal Protection for Select Models, Black Review

Got this to replace the remote housing for my 2011 Yukon as the OEM housing was already phasing out. Definitely worth buying if you're looking for the best response from an aging remote control!

What I didn't like was the missing description. Yes, there's talk of a case, but it looks like it's just a remote control that can be programmed. Therefore, a few images showing the rest of the product will be helpful for your customers.

I ended up buying two of these. There are slight differences from the OEM exterior design, but they work very well. The case has a very tight fit making it difficult to open, however they don't feel as fragile as the originals.

*NOTE* This unit comes with 3 different back panel options which we hope will cover any version you may have. Works perfectly and even better than my wife's original. Highly recommended as a replacement for a broken remote control housing.

Works great. Good job Dorman. I sold Dorman products at a parts store over 20 years ago and it was a good line at the time. I bought this remote control cover for my son's car. I put its circuit board back in place and snapped it back into place. Has been working fine for 2-3 weeks. Much cheaper than buying a new remote control. A++

The case is excellent. The quality is similar to the OEM. I had an issue with the top autoplay button on my 2007 Tahoe. The part of the rubber button that your key fob sits on is a bit large. This allows the key fob board to float and keeps the top button disconnected from the circuit. All I did was cut out a regular sized rubber band and attached the bottom of the board. This lifted the circuit board just enough so that all of the buttons now work. At least for now.

I have bought FOB replacement boxes on eBay and I would say they are fine. I was much happier with this Dorman case. The fit and finish was good, and while other reviews claim the button gasket wears out quickly, mine still looks good after a few months, but we'll see. The effect and function of the button is very good. It came with 3 types of back covers for different OEM designs. The good first: This housing (Dorman 13636) fits my internal OEM electronics and works perfectly. Now for the bad: As others have said, the buttons also stick out a lot and unlocked the rear window many times on my 2011 Suburban. I spoke to Dorman about this issue but they had no solution.
