Easy installation, direct replacement

Easy direct replacement. Try to get a lower shank as well if you are in the rust belt. I grabbed both, installed them together, the steering is basically like new again

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Great fit. by Interior

One of the many components I modified to keep my 2007 NBS GMC feeling like new. The shaft failed and a new one was installed in less than 25 minutes. There is no noticeable difference in steering feel, but there is less play on the shaft.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • New Competitors Arrive

Better Design Than GM OEM

07-14 GM Tahoe, Yukon, Suburban a must if you've done a lot of miles and have experience with knocking when cornering or reversing on a dip could probably be an intermediate shaft noise. felt through the steering column.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Lots of Things

Steering is new again

Fits where the old one was. On my 2008 Suburban, the U-joint on this shaft broke. This made the steering really feel like new when I replaced it. Just 2 bolts hold it in place, if you have steering wheel play pull yours out and check the U-joint first.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Faulty

So far so good: Workmanship

So far so good. My 2006 GMC Sierra had an annoying front wheel rattle when going over small bumps in the road. Have a Duramax motor so installation was a little tedious but took about an hour and 15 minutes. crack fixed. Looks stronger than stock shaft. Nothing has squeaked for 6 months.

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

A must if the steering wheel is loose

I have an '08 Sierra and have already tightened the torx screws at the top and bottom of the steering wheel clock spring. Replaced the steering shaft and the play is gone. I used to be able to turn the steering wheel left and right and not see the movement of the front wheels. This fixed it. The steering is much tighter. Easy to replace. 15mm screw on the shaft leading to the rail. 15 mm below the steering column. 3 10mm trunk mounts on the firewall. Easy work for 5 minutes.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Updates

I am very glad that this solved my problem.

. There isn't a single video on how to replace this thing with a 2007 or newer Suburban, but it wasn't that hard to figure out. I have a 2007 Suburban LTZ 5.3L. With a couple of channel locks and a 15mm wrench, this job is a breeze. I am very glad that this solved my problem. Every time I hit a bump or turned a corner and hit a bump or spot in the road, it felt like the steering wheel came loose. It was extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. This was a 30 minute fix and it works great.

Pros
  • . Very good price.
Cons
  • . Secret

FIXED my 2008 Silverado low speed steering knock when turning

I was chasing low speed steering knock while also leaking the rack and pinion. I replaced the rack and pinion and was told the "knock" was not fixed. I bought a Revain Dorman intermediate shaft after checking prices at NAPA, O'Reilly's and Advanced Auto Parts. I paid less than half the price of the most expensive provider. Removal was easy, unhooking from the steering column (fixing the steering wheel with a strap so it doesn't move) and unscrewing the bolts from the bottom, it pulled outโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
